OpenRMF® Professional Licenses
OpenRMF® Professional is a licensed application. You must have at least a 30-day evaluation license to edit data and upload information.
Listing Your License
When you go to the Administration – Licenses page you will see something like the image below if you have a valid license. It shows the name on the license, the type, the major version, as well as the maximum number of systems you can manage with this license.
Adding a License
To add a license you must have both the LIC license file and the KEY license key to upload into the system. Use both in the form at the bottom of the Licenses page and click the Upload button. If both files are valid, it will load the license into the system and unlock the functionality to create, update, edit, and delete systems and all related data.
If you need to update your license to include more systems to manage, your main site point of contact can contact your reseller or Soteria Software LLC at licensing@soteriasoft.com and someone will assist you.
What a License Allows You to Do
When you have a valid license, you can add new systems, edit system data, add new checklists, upload patch scan files, and setup tailoring controls for your systems. Upon first install you have an OpenRMF® Professional sample system with checklists and data setup in read-only mode. That is all you will have until you load a valid license file.
License Expiration
When your license expires, you DO NOT lose your data at all. It basically goes into a “read only” mode until you can get your license updated. Any deletes, additions, edits, updates, or creating of new systems is blocked and your logs and audit messages will show license issues. All auditing will still happen as well settings changes and license file uploads.
You will get notifications when the license is under 90, 60, and 30 days for expiration as a warning when you log into OpenRMF® Professional.
