Run the Device/Host Open Vulnerability Report
This report allows you to specify a System Package and then it lists all devices contained across all Checklists. Then it allows you to choose one or more devices or hosts and run a report to show all open Vulnerabilities for those selected devices. The open Checklist vulnerabilities are displayed in the listing similar to a Checklist dashboard so you can see more detailed data or just view the status and severity. And the open Patch vulnerabilities are displayed below that so you can view all vulnerability data across selected devices.
Where the Data Comes From
This data comes from all active checklists in your system package (i.e. you have not deleted them). Each checklist has a list of multiple vulnerabilities and their status as well as Category or Severity. That data is pulled from your checklists and put into the reporting database by vulnerability so reports like this can come back quickly and easily. As vulnerabilities are updated, they are versioned in the checklist database and the final data is parsed and updated in the vulnerability report database. Each Checklist must also have the hostname field filled in for it to pull that hostname for this listing.
It also comes from the latest scan information saved across all uploaded ACAS (*.nessus) Patch scans for your devices and servers. All Nessus scans uploaded have data pulled and updated in the Patch Vulnerability area of the application. This data is shown just for the devices selected to give you a full view of ALL vulnerabilities for those devices.
Why Run this Report
You can list all open Checklist and Patch vulnerabilities quickly across multiple devices with this report. You also can select similar devices and ensure their open vulnerabilities and status are similar so the baseline for that type of device does not deviate its desired state. If there are differences that lets you know quickly with actionable information.
